Books vs. EBook

There is many different ways to read now a days, kindle, nook, ipad, or just classic book. I perfer reading a book. I perfer the actual book better beacuse i like having the actual thing in my hands, and an ebook is just not the same. One thing on the nook that bothering me is one page of the actual book is equivalent to three to four pages on the nook. That makes my reading go much slower because i feel like im reading a lot more than i actually am. You also can't flip back to look for stuff when youre doing a project which can get very annoying.
A disadvantage of the Ebooks could be they run out of battery at inconvient times. Having the actual book is always reliable and will never run out on you. Also, Ebooks are expensive. You always have to buy them where as you can go to the local library to rent the books for free.  A disadvatnage of having the book is the weight. On Ebooks you can have many books on one tablet. Another disatvanatge of the Ebook. is when you don't have wifi you can't read. Like this week I was on vacation with no wifi and i couldn't read the whole time i was gone!
Chosing an  E reader or the actual book depends on the reader. Its weather you enjoy touching, and feeling the book or having more than one book on one device. Its all up to you the reader.

Nicolas Sparks

If I had to chose a favorite author, I would pick Nicholas Sparks. I recently read two of his novels for Reader's Choice, and from those readings I want to continue following him. The novels I read were A Walk to Remember, and The Lucky One

Almost every Sparks' novel is a young love story, and there is always either a father, or mother figure missing from the protagonist's life. This is based off Spark's own childhood, he grew up without a father figure in his life and used that in his writing.  For example, in A Walk to Remember, both main characters, Jamie Sullivan and Landon Carter are missing a parent. Jamie lost her mom to cancer when she was younger, and Landon's father is a business man who's always traveling and was never there for Landon. In The Lucky One, Elizabeth, the woman in the picture Logan finds is divorced with a son. Even though he isn't the main character, there is still the essence of a missing parents in a child's life.

Spark's also always has the same setting for his novels, a small town in North Carolina. Now it's not always the same town, but they're always a small close community living by the water. In The Lucky One, they followed Logan from Iraq all the way to settling down in Hampton North Carolina where Elizabeth was from. In A Walk to Remember, Beaufort Nc. The NotebookThe Wedding, A Bend in the Road, Safe Haven, all in New Bern Nc.
